Wow, I had forgotten how gorgeous Colorado is! We are in The Garden of the God's Campground and here is a picture of Pike's Peak from our window. We will be seeing all of the sights here in Colorado Springs for the next couple of days.
Bent's Fort was a really neat National Park we stopped at yesterday. It was about 2 hours southeast of Col. Springs. It was built on the Arkansas River which used to be the border between the US & Mexico in the 1830's. This was the largest trading fort between the Mississippi River & the Pacific Ocean and it was a meeting place for the Americans, Mexicans, French and 4 different Indian tribes. Later it was used as a military fort. So much history and the kids thought it reminded them a little bit of the Conner Prairie Indian Camp since there were the original artifacts and people in period dress.

....great to get a small "taste" of the beautiful mountains and sky through your photos. I'm very glad all of you get to experience God's creation "up close and personal." Love Mom/Grandma
