Through the eyes of a 12 year old

11/1/09:  Today we went to a ghost town. It was established because they found gold in the area.  But, a few years later, it was closed because they accidently flooded the mine and they realized that they couldn't mine for any more gold.  So everybody left the town.  We also rode horsed through the desert behind the town.

11/2/09:  Today we all move to Williams, Arizona where we, should I say Kamped, at a KOA.  The place has 2 hot tubs and a cold pool.  They also have a mini putt-putt golf area.   It's the nicest site yet.  I can't wait to go to the Grand Canyon.

11/3/09:  Today we all went to the Grand Canyon.  It was crazy BIG!  We even hiked half-way down the canyon.  The trail had no rails so you could fall all the way down.

  1. Glad to hear things are sounding a little better (and healthier?!). So you are in Williams? For some reason I think that is very close to the Indian Reservation we went to on several of our Mission Trips out there...we were in Dilkon...seen signs for that? Well, glad everyone made it back safely from the Grand Canyon. As beautiful as it is it can definitely freak a parent out without the rails! Can't wait until you get back!
